Hey, Gita. Have you recently taken on the position of Back Office Manager for both coalsoft and coalios? How did you actually get into this position and are you happy with it after only a few weeks on the job?

Hi Filipe, I was looking for a job after a position was eliminated at a company I really liked, and I was looking for a job with a preconceived notion and fear that I might not like and enjoy the work as much as I did at my previous job. I was afraid of the kind of people I would encounter. Now here I am, and watching after these few weeks, how much I enjoy coming to work, the position and the team have suited me, I am convinced that everything bad is good for something, and I am so glad that I didn't let my fears and apprehension close the door to this new path that I have been walking on since day one with a smile and joy.

Could you give our blog readers an idea of what all lies beneath your position? I guess every day is different, right?

The Back Office Manager position encompasses a set of activities and tasks aimed at providing support within the company. It does not mean direct contact with customers, but also it is about supporting front office colleagues who define the tasks and activities, and it is from direct contact with customers that I believe they will be able to focus even more on with my arrival. This is the kind of work inside the company, such as accounting work and controlling, HR, management support, operational and organisational matters, looking after the company's facilities. The routine activities that I have to look after myself include other random tasks from the supervisor, which can break up the normal workload, and I appreciate that.

How do you rate your performance so far? Are you enjoying it, as our company culture says, at full COAL?

I've enjoyed the job since day one and feel it has suited me very well. In the first week of joining, I was constantly dreaming about horses, which means motivation, determination and strength, which is what keeps me going until now. I already had experience with a full range of activities, so I feel that the training is going very quickly and that I am already an asset to the company. In my case, it is mainly about familiarizing myself with the company's tools and procedures. Adapting and dedicating myself to a new employee is, in my opinion, a very important and mutually beneficial time in the future. Here, it is absolutely excellent, and I don't just mean the training, which is done with plenty of space to absorb the workload, but also the interest of the supervisor and colleagues in everyone as a person and the active involvement in this "family" in the form of many activities.

Working in a coalfamily? A feeling of security and confidence!

Fans on social media can see that coalfamily is not just a job to the bone, but a group of nice people who enjoy their time not only at their desks. (smile) Do you enjoy this company culture?

NI got used to the company culture from day one. A lot of it is that I set myself up that way and opened myself up to it from the beginning, because I knew what the company culture was like here. I'm a social person and can open myself up to different situations in life, so I appreciate being in a natural, relaxed and authentic environment where everyone is on the same page and no one is fighting for themselves. I feel safe here and where there is a sense of safety, there is also trust and that is what is emphasized here.

Both of our companies are still recruiting new developers and consultants. What words would you use to invite them to join our team? Working for coalfamily certainly makes sense, doesn't it?

Working for coalfamily certainly makes sense. That's how I feel and I can feel it from the people around me. I sense not only the company culture, but also my colleagues and I sense from them that they see meaning in their work and are happy here.

It hasn't been that long since coalsoft and coalios have been enjoying their new offices. When you arrived, the building was wrapped in a halo of flowers and cosiness. Is this part of your hobby?

Definitely. As soon as Michal (CEO of coalfamily) told me that he needed a female hand here to bring that cosiness to the corporate environment, in addition to practicality, I knew I would have no problem with it. We started with flowers and I've already heard positive feedback, not only from colleagues but also from outside. Some people go out for a cigarette during the day, others go for a run, and I'm happy to go out and hang out with the little trees, for example. There is a positive energy in everything that grows, and I am happy to feel it here.
