Sadik, you started your new career in June this year! What were your first impressions? Have we met your expectations, and do you already feel like part of coalfamily?
The first impressions were great. Working in a young and friendly team where I feel comfortable is ideal. At the same time, the team is full of capable people, which motivates and pushes me forward. I see each day as an opportunity to learn something new and develop further.
Can you describe what your work as an experienced developer entails, and what do you enjoy most about it?
My job involves problem-solving, application development, and other IT „cool stuff.“ (smile) I enjoy the process from idea to implementation, seeing something being born and growing step by step. When I find an effective solution to a problem and see that it has a positive impact, it really moves you forward and brings a sense of satisfaction.
How did you feel about your first team event? Do you have any unforgettable experiences that you'd like to share?
The first team event was fantastic. I've only been with the company for a few months, so it was another opportunity to deeper relationships with colleagues and get to know them a little better. The atmosphere was relaxed, and we had a great time.
I’ll be working on an application with AI integration for document processing
Working in the SAPUI5 team must come with some interesting challenges. What has been the biggest challenge for you since you joined?
SAPUI5 was a new technology for me, so diving into it completely has been, and still is, a challenge. But I welcome the opportunity to keep learning new things, and gradually, I'm gaining more confidence.
What project are you currently working on that excites you the most? Is there something that's been on your mind that you'd like to push forward?
The very idea of working on various projects with different technologies excites me. Diving deep into one technology and knowing it thoroughly is certainly a plus, but I also like trying new things and I don’t want to fall behind. In the near future, I’ll be working on an application with AI integration for document processing, and that really interests me.
When you're not spending time coding and developing applications, how do you recharge? Do you have any hobbies or activities that you enjoy most outside of work?
In my free time, I like to run, read, and especially spend time with my family. Sometimes it's necessary to completely disconnect from work, turn off the brain, and my one-year-old daughter always helps with that. She’s the one filling up most of my free time right now.
