Honza. You celebrated your 4th anniversary at coalsoft on December 1st, 2023! Are you still enjoying your job and new challenges? Could you describe how the company has evolved in the 4 years since you joined?

I still enjoy my work, otherwise I wouldn't be here. It's a completely different world from the corporate waters I stepped out of. There's more freedom, interesting projects, but also more responsibility. I've been at coalsoft almost from the very beginning, where I started out as an Integration Developer. Then I moved up to Senior Integration Consultant. And now I hold the role of Integration Team Leader/Manager.

Could you give us a brief summary of 2023, which is inexorably coming to an end?

It's been a ride, 2023 has been marked by the rollout of new collaborations that have been successful. We jumped into international projects where we acted as integration developers, consultants and even as integration stream leaders. At the same time, we started on implementations of integration solutions for S4 Cloud, where other customers on the „old SAP“ are gradually starting to migrate. I would definitely like to thank the whole team, without whom we would not have started and continued these collaborations!

Artificial intelligence is taking over the world. Do you use this „new“ technology for your work, which could save your team time and increase efficiency?

Yes. We use ChatGPT to validate/refactor our codes. It also helps us in structuring and finding information quickly. We will definitely be using AI in the next year and looking for its further application.

Moving to the cloud? Cost savings and more flexibility!

SAP technology is still very much the music of the future. Do you agree? Could you briefly describe the biggest benefits and added values for your customers?

Yes, definitely. You can see the trend of digitalization and moving to the cloud, which companies cannot do without these days. For customers, moving to the cloud means cost savings, greater flexibility and scalability, fast implementation and updates, remote access to data, and most importantly, easier collaboration within the team.

The year 2024 is knocking on the door! Could you tell us your vision, goals, plans for the coming year?

We would definitely like to expand the integration team with new full-time colleagues, that will be the main goal. After that we would like to work on quality, usability and automation.

Spectacular teambuilding of the whole coalfamily will take place in the mountains again, at the beginning of 2024. Are you looking forward to this event?

Of course I am. We're going to the mountains, so I'm going to dust off my board and cross-country skis and hit the hills. It's the perfect time to relax a bit, unwind and bond with the team over an evening of professional discussions and a drink. (smile)
