Jan, you started your career with us as an integration developer in July of this year. Could you tell us what brought you to coalfamily?

I decided that I wanted to gain some practical experience alongside my computer science studies. I heard about coalfamily from my friend Honza Tůma, and the job description as well as the overall view of the company and its culture really attracted me.

A few weeks after joining, you attended your first company event. How did you enjoy it, and did it help you integrate better into the team?

I had the chance to meet other colleagues in person, whom I had only spoken to before. That made me feel more like a part of the team. I really enjoyed the event and I am looking forward to more like it.

Who has been your biggest role model and helper at coalsoft so far? And how do your colleagues treat you?

My biggest role model and helper is the already mentioned Honza, who I worked with on my first project. I’ve learned a lot of new things from him, and I believe I’ll continue to learn more. But all my colleagues are very friendly and always willing to help me anytime.

I think future projects will bring new challenges, and through them, I’ll gain new skills.

Where do you see the biggest advantages of the SAP system? It’s a renowned brand worldwide!

I think the biggest advantage of SAP is that it connects all the important company processes into one system. This makes work easier for companies, saves time, and reduces errors. Plus, it can adapt to the needs of different types of businesses, which makes it very versatile.

How do you spend your free time outside of work? Do you have any hobbies or interests?

I spend most of my free time playing sports, mainly hockey and tennis, which I’ve been involved in since I was a child.

What are your plans and goals for the coming months? Is there any particular skill you’d like to develop?

I definitely want to continue learning new things, especially when it comes to SAP in general, and particularly integrations. I think future projects will bring new challenges, and through them, I’ll gain new skills.
